Oaxacan Heart Pendant Necklace
The center-piece of this necklace is meticulously carved and painted Torchwood pendant. The tree trunk, whose genus is endemic to the region of Oaxaca and from which they are carved, come from an eco-farm, sourced and then woodworked by the artisans Javier and Maria Soledad along the whole family at their workshop in San Miguel Tilcajete, a town renown for its alebrijes (folkloric, painted wooden artisanry).
The piece was assembled by Alexa Sefchovich, designer residing in Guadalajara, Mexico, putting the flower clasp together with a precious stone for its final design.
