Painted Colibris of Oaxaca (Green)
Representing the iconic spirit of Huitzilin (meaning hummingbird in Nahuatl), these avian earrings are meticulously painted Torchwood pendants. The tree trunk, whose genus is endemic to the region of Oaxaca and from which they are carved, come from an eco-farm. The artisan, Lucrecia Martinez, carves these herself, while her husband, Angel Fabian, paints them in the crease of his arm in his workshop located in San Martin Tilcajete, a town renown for its alebrijes (folkloric, painted wooden artisanry).
