Heart of Oaxaca Earrings (Pink)
The center-piece of these earrings are meticulously painted Torchwood pendants. The tree trunk, whose genus is endemic to the region of Oaxaca and from which they are carved, come from an eco-farm. The artisan, Lucrecia Martinez, carves these herself, while her husband, Angel Fabian, paints them in the crease of his arm in his workshop located in San Martin Tilcajete, a town renown for its alebrijes (folkloric, painted wooden artisanry).
The piece was assembled by Alexa Sefchovich, designer residing in Guadalajara, Mexico, putting the flower clasp together with a precious stone for its final design.
